Alwaleed Foundation strategic partner of Al-Faisalya Society at ...

The event was held under the patronage of HRH Princess Mashael Bint Abdulaziz Al Saud and was attended by women leaders and professionals.

The event aims to empower Saudi women at the Seleslah Center economically, develop and market their products locally and globally.

It also aims to promote Saudi heritage and culture and support orphans whom sponsored by Al-Faisalya Society.

The event also included a charity auction in which a gown, designed by the women in Sleslah Center, was sold for the benefit of The Orphans' Center at Princess Hessah Bint Khalid Center for Social Development.

Princess Fahda Bint Saud commended that 'Hawiya' is of great significance because of its role in connecting the new generation of young Saudi women with their authentic heritage. She added that this year's products line consisted of long hours of production and efforts in detailed designing.

This year's event included the launch and expansion of the new center "Hawiya" which specializes in designing and producing apparel and jewelry in partnership with a number of local designers and artists. Seleslah Center is considered as one of the most important projects of creative handicrafts (Taseel) as part of The Alwaleed Foundation's Women's Empowerment

Initiative (Hama) which is overseeing implementation of Mrs. Nora Al-Malki, Executive Manager of Development Projects. The event was also atatended by Ms. Najla Tarabzouni, Communications and Media Manager and Ms. Noura AlGhunaiman , Coordinator at The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation.

'Hama' aims to support women's empowerment issues, emphasize their leadership within the society, empower women, develop their productivity and enhance their capacity in functional and technical fields.

The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 80 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
